The first five pages of Kid Anarchy were created on spec by George Cole and Mike McCarthy to pitch to Gary Groth at the 1989 Dallas Fantasy Fair in hopes that he would publish the series. He did! Three years and three issues later the 32 page magazine format series came to an end with script #4 ("Sludge") left undrawn by McCarthy.

Ritualized Hand-Me-Downs: Fantagraphics had to make space in their warehouse and sold Cole and McCarthy the entire remaining issues. It would be so cool if Fantagraphics decided to reprint everything in a nice little square bound graphic novel one day. Until then stay tuned as we post all three issues and extras.
